Dental implants are a reliable and more permanent solution to missing teeth. They can be placed with the utmost precision for a perfect fit. Not only are dental implants a beautiful solution for replacing missing teeth, they provide unmatched support for stabilizing dentures. Summit Family Dental Care makes getting your new smile easier and faster than ever before.
Dental implants are small titanium posts that are surgically inserted into your jawbone to mimic your tooth roots. The seemingly small tweak between this and placing a denture atop the gums makes a world of difference. Once an abutment is placed on the post, it can be capped with a beautiful crown, and you’ll not only solve the problem of missing teeth, but prevent the deterioration of jawbone! When the health of your jawbone is compromised, the following can happen:
If you’re missing most or all of your natural teeth, or living with ill-fitting dentures that rock and slip, dental implants can still improve your quality of life. Using the minimum number of implants (will vary depending on your case) to support the maximum number of teeth can be the secure tooth replacement solution you’ve dreamt of.
You can gain confidence with the security that dental implants provide, and be free of removable dentures that require adhesives to hold in place. We’d love to help you eat, smile, and laugh without fear!
If a missing tooth has created a space in your smile, a dental bridge can close the gap. With an estimated 178 million Americans missing at least one tooth, it might not seem like it’s a pressing issue. However, a missing tooth can cause surrounding teeth to shift and misalignment in your bite. Shifting teeth can also make oral hygiene harder to maintain, making you susceptible to gum disease, decay, and the loss of more teeth in the future. We’d love to help you prevent this cycle with a beautiful porcelain bridge!
Do you have trouble remembering the last time you felt well-rested upon waking? If you or your partner find yourselves waking up multiple times throughout the night because of loud snoring, you’re likely frustrated and thinking of it as a nuisance. However, chronic snoring is the most common sign of sleep apnea, a condition that is dangerous when left untreated. If you happen to find yourself nodding while you read the signs and symptoms, you might benefit from a consultation at Summit Family Dental Care
Certain factors increase your risk of sleep apnea, such as being a male, overweight, frequent alcohol and/or sedative use, smoking or tobacco use, nasal congestion, a narrow airway, and family history. You will want to share these details with your trusted doctors at Summit Family Dental Care so they may accurately diagnose and treat your symptoms.
If you’re at all familiar with sleep apnea, you’re probably also aware that the usual prescription for relief is a Continuous Positive Air Pressure (CPAP) machine. This machine pumps air to prevent airway closures through a mask that you’ll wear while you sleep. This method works for some people, but others find the mask uncomfortable and the machine noisy, which doesn’t help much when it comes to the insomnia you may already be experiencing!
